Hello my fellow bloggers! I know I haven’t posted in a while but now I’m back to tell you about the one and only King Perseus of Macedonia. King Perseus was born in 212. He was the son of King Philip V and was the brother of Demetrius. Perseus hated his brother with passion, enough passion to take three years to convince a king to have him executed. After this, Perseus had time to command his country's army. In 199 he helped in one war in Rome and in 189 commanded his troop against Aetolia. It wasn’t until after this did he take throne. This happened in 179 BCE. From then on he was thought of as a powerful leader and as if to prove that, he slowly gained control over the Delphic Amphictyony. Because he was a demigod, Perseus was also believed to have killed the legendary Medusa. After his death in 165 no other king had the pleasure of taking throne making him the last king of Macedonia.
